Do you offer Telehealth and In-Person Sessions?

We offer both in-person and remote sessions.
Online therapy provides the support you need from the comfort and safety of your own home—without compromising your health. Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, web-based, HIPAA-compliant video platform to protect your privacy and confidentiality.

What can I expect?
We recommend beginning with a brief video or phone consultation. This initial conversation allows you to ask questions about the therapy process and assess your comfort level with the clinician. It also serves as a screening for medical necessity if you plan to use health insurance. During this time, we’ll explore your therapy or treatment history, and current concerns. This consultation is a great opportunity to start building a connection and determine if the clinician is the right fit for your needs.
What to Expect in Your Initial Session
After scheduling your appointment, you’ll receive intake forms through our secure client portal. During your first session, your clinician will take time to understand your personal history, further explore the reasons you’re seeking therapy, and—if you’re using insurance—collect any information needed to establish medical necessity. Sessions typically last between 40 and 55 minutes, depending on your individual needs and insurance coverage.
Will my insurance cover my sessions?
In many cases, insurance does cover mental health services, provided there is a medically necessary reason for treatment. While we will verify your insurance coverage before your intake appointment, we strongly encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to confirm your eligibility and benefits.
Please note: If medical necessity is not established during the consultation or initial session, your insurance may not cover the services provided.
What if I do not have insurance?

If you do not have insurance, you are welcome to pay out-of-pocket. We accept most major credit cards, cash, ACH bank transfer, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), PayPal, and Zelle.
Although we are not in-network with all insurance providers, we are considered an out-of-network (OON) provider with many health plans. If we are not in-network with your insurance, we can provide you with a Superbill upon request. You can submit this Superbill to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan’s out-of-network benefits.
Please note: Reimbursement is not guaranteed, and you are responsible for confirming your out-of-network benefits with your insurance provider before beginning services.

What about medication?
We do not prescribe medication. If you are currently being prescribed medication, please continue working with your prescriber for ongoing medication management.
If you are interested in exploring medication therapy as part of your treatment plan for symptom management, we are happy to provide referrals to a licensed prescriber.
What about my privacy and confidentiality?
Privacy & Confidentiality Statement – Your privacy is extremely important to us. Every client receives an Informed Consent for Treatment and a Notice of Privacy Practices, which outline your rights to confidentiality, protected by both federal and state laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We adhere to strict legal and ethical standards when collecting, maintaining, and protecting your Protected Health Information (PHI).
Limits to Confidentiality – While we prioritize confidentiality, there are specific situations where we may be legally or ethically required to share information:
Risk of Harm: If you are at immediate risk of harming yourself or others.
Vulnerable Populations: If there is suspected abuse or neglect of children, elders, or other protected groups.
Billing & Payment: When necessary to share information with insurance or billing providers for reimbursement.
Legal Requirements: When disclosure is required by federal or state law.
Written Authorization: If you provide written permission for us to share information with others (e.g., your doctor, psychiatrist, family member, or emergency contact).
What happens if I need to cancel a session?

We understand that life happens. However, your weekly or bi-weekly appointment time is reserved specifically for you. We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid a late cancellation fee. This policy helps us honor the time commitment made to each client.
