Felix L. Martinez Jr.

LMSW, LSW, MPA

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and Certified First Responder Associate Counselor with three years of outpatient clinical experience supporting adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, co-occurring conditions, complex trauma, and significant mental health challenges. My professional background also includes 29 years of public service within New York City’s criminal justice and human service systems, providing me with a strong understanding of the systemic, occupational, and environmental factors that can influence mental health and well-being.

My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with complementary and holistic techniques to help clients better understand how past experiences and trauma may influence present thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I utilize modalities including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based approaches, and somatic awareness. I am also trained in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and incorporate EFT as a complementary approach when clinically appropriate and aligned with the client’s goals.

I provide psychotherapy to first responders, neurodiverse individuals, adolescents ages 16 and older, young adults, and adults. My experience and specialized training allow me to provide a particularly informed and supportive therapeutic environment for first responders and individuals navigating the unique demands of high-stress professions. Each session is tailored to the client’s individual needs, strengths, and goals, with an emphasis on creating a collaborative, respectful, and supportive therapeutic experience.

Shanira Griffith

LCSW
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in private practice, I provide clinical supervision to LMSWs working toward licensure as well as consultation for clinicians in private practice who want professional support. My supervision style is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in the realities of direct practice.

I bring a diverse clinical background that includes nonprofit work, re-entry and forensic services, grief and end-of-life care, and individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, and major life transitions. This breadth allows me to guide supervisees and consultees who work in complex systems while helping them build confidence and clinical clarity.

In supervision and consultation, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to discuss challenging cases, strengthen documentation and clinical formulation skills, explore ethical considerations, and integrate holistic and culturally responsive approaches. I also help clinicians in private practice think strategically about client care, boundaries, and sustainable practice growth.

Both supervision and consultation are offered virtually, tailored to your professional goals whether you’re in an agency setting, transitioning to private practice, or already running a practice and seeking clinical guidance.
