Julissa Martinez
LMHC-D, CASAC Master, Reiki Master
Throughout my career, I have supported individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, substance use, and recovery from complex trauma and emotional wounds. In my practice, I integrate evidence-based methods with holistic therapeutic techniques to support each client’s healing and personal growth. These include a humanistic and integrative approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), mindfulness-based therapy, energy psychology techniques, somatic awareness, and Reiki.
Each session is tailored to meet your unique needs—whether you’re navigating emotional pain, facing mental health challenges, striving for personal growth, or working to build more meaningful relationships.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with three years of outpatient clinical experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, co-occurring conditions, complex trauma, and serious mental health challenges. My professional background also includes 29 years of public service within New York City’s criminal justice and human service systems, bringing a deep understanding of systemic influences on mental health.
My therapeutic work integrates evidence-based practices with holistic techniques to help clients explore how past trauma impacts present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I utilize a range of modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), somatic awareness, and mindfulness-based approaches.
I provide psychotherapy to first responders, neurodiverse individuals, adolescents (ages 16+), young adults, and adults. Every session is thoughtfully tailored to meet your unique needs, ensuring a supportive and collaborative therapeutic experience.

I bring a diverse clinical background that includes nonprofit work, re-entry and forensic services, grief and end-of-life care, and individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, and major life transitions. This breadth allows me to guide supervisees and consultees who work in complex systems while helping them build confidence and clinical clarity.
In supervision and consultation, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to discuss challenging cases, strengthen documentation and clinical formulation skills, explore ethical considerations, and integrate holistic and culturally responsive approaches. I also help clinicians in private practice think strategically about client care, boundaries, and sustainable practice growth.
Both supervision and consultation are offered virtually, tailored to your professional goals whether you’re in an agency setting, transitioning to private practice, or already running a practice and seeking clinical guidance.
